Cincinnati Preservation Bargains: Harvey Street

Yes you ARE seeing double, double the opportunity at 3412 and 3416 Harvey street. These two brick turreted 3 story mansions are built from the same architect plan and stand side by side. MLS#1219616 (3416) and MLS#1219618 (3412).

Both houses need some TLC but have high ceilings, a ton or original woodwork and some great fireplaces with wonderful tile. Both Properties are offered by Bill Brown Eastside Inc 513-221-5221. Each house sits on a a generous 30x190 lot. Each house is listed for sale at 32,900.00 , a bargain for what was built as a high end residence. Close to Children's Hospital, Universities and minutes to downtown.

Do you know of a Preservation bargain? A house that just needs a preservation minded person to but it and bring it back to its former glory? If so contact me at victiques@hotmail.com , just include a clear picture or pictures and contact information and we may feature it here. Several homes are now in Preservationists hand and under restoration because of this series. Saving Cincinnati, One house at a time.

These houses are great. They are in a great location, near the zoo and R. McDonald house too. Eventually more development will happen on both sides of Erkenbrecher near Burnet across from these houses on Harvey. And to think you could buy both for less than the cost of one small house. A restorer could have a ball. The house on the left is missing its' porch but could be replicated exactly just by looking at the porch next door. Hope they find a good owner.
