Dining Room Medallion Project: Polychroming

The nice thing about an impending home tour is that is "inspires' you to get projects done hat you have put off for while. One of those project is the dining room medallion. Given the Neo Grec stencils in  the dining room, finding that perfect medallion took some time. I finally decided on this one. It is about two feet across and should look great with the chandelier we selected and the ceiling medallion.

The colors selected are the same colors used in the dining room , Terra Cotta, False Cypress, Lamp black and  gold leaf. Painting from beginning to finish totaled about 6 hours over a couple of days.

As you see from  the before, a litlle paint makes a world of difference
