Knox Hill Project: Weekly update: It's garden time!

It’s all in bloom! And boy is there a lot to do. We are weeding, digging ,dividing and transplanting.

The front project are coming along and the front street side beds are soon to be ready for planting. Some of our neighbors are getting ready to do the same thing so the block should shine by tour time!

Our once eroded front yard is now awash with color. All the plants have taken hold and no more soil will be washing over the wall.

We are getting ready to mulch this area planted last year. Long time readers may remember this had 2-3 feet of washed down top soil on it, Honeysuckle, weeds and broken bottles were everywhere, not to mention the stone wall top cap that had been yanked off then thieves had removed the remnants of wrought iron fencing.

So, with all of this going on, what’s next? Roto tilling and terracing. We just got a large roto-tiller! No more backbreaking digging. Wait till you see the change in the yard next week!
