Knox Hill Preservation Opportunity Home Tour, A Sucess!!!

The Knox Hill Neighborhood Association held its first ever Preservation Opportunity Home tour on May 19th.Three Second Empire Homes at varying statges of restoration were featured on the tour.

There was a classic car display that included one car that was owned by the family who once lived in a home in the neighborhood.

The parlor of the Negele Merz house was furnished in period design to give people an idea of how people lived "back in the day" when these homes were the weekend getaways for the wealthy in Cincinnati.

The cottage across the street which was highly endangered, is now on the road to recovery with its restored exterior and contemporary interior in progress.

The C.Wilkings House, a Save-not-Raze project gave tour goers a great opportunity to see the early stages of restoration..

More photos can be seen on my Picasa web album Knox Hill Home Tour

A special thanks to all the volunteers that made this event possible and if you missed it, don't worry, we will do this again next year!
